Yup, so the ones I’ve starred have inspired me on a daily basis, whether it be for acting or my personal life. For me, I’m always thinking about acting and these actors (yes, they are mostly male and British hehe) for various reasons have inspired me to do what I love. And the big names, the ones which you may recognize, speaking directly for the ones I have not starred, I have not really delved into their interviews, so I have not gotten a sense of who they are or who they claim to be but they are solely on this list because of their acting. But nonetheless, these actors…they love what they do and are greatly passionate about what they do and for me, when I see someone who resembles my passion for acting, I immediately latch onto that. I greatly admire that person. So, not to discount anyone on this list (or anyone who is not on this list) but honestly, the ones starred are people who have proven to me that they are greatly passionate (judging by their interviews of course) about acting. Words come out of the soul. So, they may not be who they claim to be but from what I’ve seen is how I become a “fan” of theirs. At the same time, I don’t want to say that my list is “who’s hot and who’s not” because who cares what I think? These are simply actors who I think are amazing and deserve recognition, especially the small actors who are struggling to get their names out there. They inspire me especially now due to me making this huge change in my life.

I remember I used to say, “I don’t think it’s fair for actors to tell people so nonchalantly to chase after their dreams. Sure, they know what it’s like to fear for lack of success, to risk everything, but they made it. Their fears are over. Someone spotted them from the crowd and made them into a star.” I went on. “I don’t want to be a star. I just want to live my dream and be able to support myself but everyone knows it’s difficult to support yourself on acting alone, never mind on entertainment itself. I look at my favorite actors and find they are all dreamers, they so powerfully believe in the capability and strive of people. They give me hope. But I don’t know what I hope for.”

It’s been maybe two or three years since I wrote that. I remember being in such a state of…worry, of not knowing where to go, and being a bit angry at the people who I’ve listed above. I was angry because I was scared of the decision I might make when entering into college. And I was doubting myself and my ability for talent. Now I look back and I see myself actually doing what they did, pursuing what they loved to do. Aaron Tveit, once said: “Once I came to acting, it was almost a thing where there weren’t enough hours in the day to work on stuff because I was so passionate about it.” This quote impacted me so much because it was and still is so true. I realized that if this passion for acting was so great, it would eliminate that fear of not being good enough. And it is, it’s in the process of eradicating that fear. I truly believe that when people begin to believe in themselves, that small ounce of faith can go far. I also believe that people can make themselves talented. You’ve heard the saying, “Practice makes perfect” and acting is like a sport in a way, we are like athletes constantly seeing how far we can go and I realize that I can’t go far if I don’t believe in myself. This has been and will continue to be such a marvelous journey and I can’t wait to see how far I go. While going on this journey, I am so grateful for my passion. I am so grateful for everyone in my life. I am so grateful for my life and all the struggles I have and will gone/go through.
